The greatest compliment for me as a photographer that I can receive is the request for me to take someone’s picture. It’s happening more often that someone asks me to take their picture, or tells me that they were happy that I had asked them if I could take their picture.
I’m also in the position where I actually can accommodate peoples request for photos. Before it was like “alright, but you’ve got to pay if you want there to be film in the camera. Also, if you want the film to be developed, that’s extra”.
Today I spent money earned at the mill. On film developing/scanning.

title: Kill The Body And The Head Will Die
About two weeks ago I was having some trouble sleeping. Usually when I can’t sleep I read, but because I had just finished Killing Yourself To Live I was having good-book withdrawal (you know when you like a book so much that after it’s done you don’t feel like reading anything else for a while).
So instead of reading I decided to paint, and this is the fruit of my insomnia.
I’m really quite proud of it. I like the style that is starting to come out and I like hollow look on the mans face. I’m stoked.
Update:Â [10/9] I started reading Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and decided that ‘Kill The Body And The Head Will Die’ is a good name for this piece.
