Every other day or so Trace comes over to my house forĀ an Art Day. Art Days generally consist of us drawing and painting for a couple of hours. Afterward we usually go buy stuff. It’s not a really great habit.
This is Trace with his entry to the black and white show. When I was taking this picture I was hoping that heād look like his drawing, but he just looks uncomfortable.Ā SorryĀ dude.
Speaking of the black and white show, Trace and I sent in our entries last Thursday and should know if we got in this week. Keep your fingers crossed.
You can see one of my entries here.
Back when I was into being punk and into being a Sophomore I emailed the owner of a locally run clothing company about how to become a designer.
After a month or so he emailed me back asking if I wanted to meet with him to propose some shirt designs.
We met at a skatepark and talked about xok for about an hour while I showed him some designs.
He said he liked my stuff and after the interview I emailed him the designs.
After that our correspondence fell apart and I figured that was the end of it.
Well today I decided to check out xokclothing.com for kicks and if you click on āstoreā youāll see a splash screen featuring a cartoon I used to draw that I called Anarchy Bot.
A little more investigation lead me to theyāre myspace pageās blog which features a new list of shirts, one of them featuring xok bot.
So thatās whatās new.
It’s sort of funny that they changed the pages background color to blue, because it looks like real shit that way.
Trace and I are preparing a gallery show. Iām doing photography and heās doing illustration. Weāre getting into it so much that weāre now planning āart daysā where we get together and draw ān stuff.
These are pictures from the last time we got together. Neither of us felt like drawing much so I got out my camera and he started reading a skate mag.
