My housemate, friend and frequent Love City visitor Trace got some ink at The Painted Temple the other day.

Trace was really, really nervous.

But after the initial prick, he calmed down. I guess he just thought it was going to hurt a lot more then it did.

It reads: Amigos y familia estan cerca de mi corazon.
Translated: My friends and family are close to my heart.

What I learned: Taking photos of someone actually getting a tattoo is is pretty boring. Trace’s tattoo took at least 45 minutes (30 of which I spent sleeping on a bench). The interesting photos come from people, not the external stuff.

I shoot Amanda and Stephen’s wedding early this month. It was a lot of fun. Weddings are so great because everyone is so happy.

That’s good news for a documentary photographer like me.

The Volcom Wild in the Parks tour came to the Greenwood Skatepark in American Fork, Utah about a month ago. These are the photos that I took.

I got the chance to shoot the band Collin Creek a few days ago. Collin Creek is a hardcore band based in Provo Utah.

It was a totally rad show. I especially like shooting hardcore bands because there is so much energy.

If your band wants photos, then you need to tell me.

My roommates fish died while he was in Vegas, so we had a funeral for it last week.

It was weird having the word “Funeral!” called out around the house.

I’ve been giving my friend Allison some informal photography lessons. This day we went to the old Rocky Mountain Raceway located in Springville, Utah.

RMR is rad. It’s got a great background and tons to stuff to visually explore. (Dig the rocket.)

Last week Amanda and I shoot some bridals. This is my first bridal session & I’m quite pleased with how they turned out. (Thanks to Amanda, of course)

These bridals were taken at a friends horse field, Downtown Provo & Rock Canyon Park.
