Danica Novgorodoff

I’m often at a loss for words when I need to talk about a work of art.

Danica Novgorodoff’s animal portraits blow me away. They’re sad, disturbing, interesting and carry so much weight. Her execution for these ideas is perfect.

I recently bought comic book she wrote and drew called A Late Freeze. It’s about a robot and a bear who fall in love, and I highly recommend it. + the book is only $6.50 shipped, which is beyond reasonable.

You can buy some of her prints at charmingwall.com.

  • A few more stills from yesterdays shoot with @AlexPow.

These are from a time-laps project I started at the beginning of the summer. After I had some trouble with it, I actually gave up. Recently I’ve found a new drive for this project.

I hope to finish it soon, but I’m not sure that’s very realistic. Working with video is very different from stills.
